There are tens of ways out there to optimize Windows 10 for gaming. In fact, one can find many free as well as paid software to improve the gaming performance of a Windows PC.
What’s the Game Mode feature in Windows 10?
If you regularly play resource-intensive games on your Windows 10 PC, you can now optimize your Windows 10 PC for increased performance in gaming. And the best part is that you can do so without the help of third-party utilities or Registry tweaks.
With the Creators Update for Windows 10, Microsoft has introduced a new feature called Game Mode. The Game Mode, when turned on, optimizes your Windows 10 for gaming by minimizing resources used by other apps and services.
While Microsoft has not revealed how exactly the Game Mode optimizes your Windows 10 PC for gaming, it’s likely that the Game Mode reduces resources used by other programs, apps, and services.
Most of the third-party so-called game boosters available for Windows kill unwanted services, processes, background tasks, background apps, and programs to free up RAM and reduce CPU load.
The built-in Game Mode in Windows 10 eliminates the need of a third-party game booster. By default settings, Game Mode is turned off, and you need to turn on the same under Settings.
Here is how to turn on Game Mode and use Game Mode for a game in Windows 10.
