Users who have been following us for a long time would know that we here at IntoWindows love customizing Windows 7 and always love exploring new tweaking and customization tools out there.

With the default settings, the borders of Aero glass theme in Windows 7 is blurred and looks pretty good. But the problem is that when you have multiple windows open, you can’t see the windows in the background.

Make window borders fully transparent in Windows 7

Users who would like to make the window borders transparent have a couple good tools tools to choose from. Some of you may already know how to show or hide the blur effect of window borders as we have already shown you how to make Windows 7’s window border fully transparent with the help of Full Frame Transparency Enabler tool.

This time around, we have another similar tool which does the same job with ease. Windows 7 Aero Blur Tweaker is a small standalone tool that allows you show/hide the blur effect with a click. It replaces a few system files to make this happen.

Both 32-bit and 64-bit Tweakers are available for Windows 7 in the download pack. Make sure you run the right version of the tool to successfully enable or disable the blur effect. We have tested this tool on 32-bit Windows 7 machine and can confirm that it works as advertised.

Please create a manual system restore point so that you can revert to the earlier settings in case it doesn’t work for you. If you start experiencing any problems after trying this tool, refer the following steps suggested by the tool’s developer or use the previously created system restore point:

Step 1: Restart your PC. Step 2: Take ownership of C:\Windows\system32\dwm.exe & C:\Windows\system32\uDWM.dll files. Step 3: Run the tool as administrator and click on Hide Blur.
